About The Artist
Marsha Van Vlack has her home and studio in the Allegany Hills of Western New York where she works making original one-of-a-kind tiles for wall hangings or installation.
Since 1977, Marsha has made her living as a studio potter. Her work included mostly wheel thrown functional ware for kitchen use. When her elaborately printed surfaces took up more and more time, she decided to roll the clay into tiles and paint as a painter, on a flat surface. This opened a whole new way to use clay with endless possibilities.
